Burslem Park: Stoke on Trent

Burslem Park: Stoke on Trent

Ashmead Price have supported Stoke on Trent City Council since 2007 in developing a funding application to Heritage Lottery Fund for the comprehensive restoration of Burslem Park.

The project was awarded £2.1 million funding in April 2010, a contract was let in May 2011 and the restored park was re-launched at a grand opening in June 2012. Local nurseries have contract grown around 33,000 trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants for the project, and there has been extensive repair and renewal of custom made terracotta elements throughout the park.

An urban park ranger is in post to promote and develop volunteering and events throughout the park. It is the intention to use the restored pavilion as a park café and education resource.
